But the grind never ends; the following sets will be THE ABSOLUTE BEST SETS POSSIBLE in low rank. We will take into account everything up untile APEX ARZUROS as the last quest of "Low Rank" available.
By being the last time we are here; before leaving low rank, let me explain the reason behind some of the skill and the way you can customize those sets. In fact most of the set I'm going to show are "Generic Base" that can be slightly optimized depending on your weapon of choice. With that being said let's jump right in!

Generic Sets
Those are the sets that weapons like Sword and Shield, Dual Blades, Hammer will play as their default set and works as a base for more or less anything. What are the rules here:
1) Sharpness Management (razor sharp is the king of low rank)
2) Everything else... and honestly there is not much for extras; I suggest the usage of the wirebug whisper charm to increase the third wirebug duration by 30% (really useful) or recovery UP / speed or constitution.

Generic Gunner Sets
BOW
We go for stamina surge +3 and constitution+1 for stamina management and again, not much space is left as attempting of removing anything but the helm will downgrade the set (and you want crazy stamina regen for bows).
You can swap the helm for extra element or raw damage as you like; highly suggest to eat for dango fighter and bring dash juices for extra stamina management.
BOWGUNS
YOU MUST (not optional) use SPARE SHOT is just too good to pass even in large magazines... and also Ballistics for physical projectiles (elemental shots don't have a critical distance).
That means the only armor piece that can be swapped is the leg slot + the waist slot for elemental bowguns.
